Kingborough Lions dumped Melbourne Victory out of the Australia Cup with a 3-0 win at the Showgrounds in Hobart. About 3,000 people turned up and watched an A-League Men side get pushed around, that defeat sending Victory out of the cup straight away. Down the road, Melbourne City cruised past Weston Bears 3-0 without real stress. The two Melbourne sides now press on to the round of 16. Victory will look to reset quickly with a league game right around the corner.
