Crimson Desert's new DLC, the latest expansion, has launched with mixed reviews. The expansion introduces additional content but not always enhanced quality. The game has also switched to free-to-play to mark the launch of the expansion. Technical issues, including problems with AMD PCs, have been addressed with patches. The expansion's design has been compared to Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag.
