The 2026 Copa de la Reina de Balonmano concluded its final phase in Donostia-San Sebastián, with all games staged at Illunbe arena from May 8 to May 10. Local favorite Super Amara Bera Bera claimed their 10th Copa de la Reina trophy and their fourth consecutive cup win, defeating Mecalia Atlético Guardés 26–21 in the final on May 10. The eight-team quarterfinal lineup featured Bera Bera, Caja Rural Aula Valladolid, Elda Prestigio, Grafometal Sporting La Rioja, Rocasa Gran Canaria, KH-7 BM Granollers, Replasa Beti Onak, and Guardés, highlighting a competitive field throughout the weekend.
Alongside the senior competition, the Minicopa de España brought cadet teams from the participating clubs, running parallel to the main tournament and showcasing upcoming talent. The 47th edition’s successful hosting at Illunbe underscored Donostia-San Sebastián’s role as a vibrant hub for Spanish handball, while Bera Bera’s latest triumph added to a storied legacy in the competition’s history.
