Chase Elliott ran into the wall on Sunday at the Brickyard 400. He came home in 26th place. The car sustained a hard impact but Elliott claimed the damage remained minor. Later, Alex Bowman announced he will retire after 2027. Bowman’s exit opens a spot that may be filled by Conner Zilisch in 2028. Elliott solely mentioned Bowman post crash, without discussing driver reshuffle.
