Saudi Arabia has carried out the execution of a man who committed a crime when he was 14. This execution has sparked concerns about the use of death penalty. In Iran, there are growing anxieties for athletes who are on death row as a mountaineer was recently executed. A study conducted in Malaysia has found that the public supports the idea of changing the death penalty for drug-related crimes. Saudi Arabia has also executed two Bangladeshis for illegal actions in Mecca, with Bangladesh seeking explanations. The consequences of livestreaming executions are also being debated.
